Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as as seen through flashback), her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. The parents of her didn't want her to perform until she turned an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry shy and timid to perform in the school, began performing in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Following her graduation, Perry relocated into New York to search for television work landing small roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought her back to California and she was able to find acting jobs. Perry performed with her mom in The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. The show featured their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in The Family, an ABC film The Family, in 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC political drama Scandal which starred her father. She was also cast in the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She was cast in the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
